Agriculture & OFWM

The division has the capability to provide consultancy services in the areas of:

• soil studies,
• land evaluation,
• agriculture,
• agri-economics,
• agricultural engineering,
• agronomy and
• livestock

to improve the agriculture production through enhancement of availability of water level, advisory services to increase productivity of the lands through changing crop pattern, social fertility etc. depending upon the agronomy of the area, on-farm water management etc.

• On Farm Water Management Program, Asian Development Bank, Department of Agriculture, Punjab.
• On-Farm Water Management as part of Support to Project Management Unit, for Monitoring and Evaluation of Lower Bari Doab Canal Improvement Project (LBDCIP) (ADB funded).
• National Programe for Improvement of 29000 Watercourses in Districts of Hyderabad & Mirpur Khas, Sindh as part of OFWM Programme
• Development of Curriculum & Syllabi for OFWM Trainers in D.G. Khan District
• Agronomy and Crop studies as part of feasibility study for Cholistan Irrigation, Drainage Project and Kurram Tangi Dam.
